Boil 3 cups water with:
6-7 whole cardamom seeds crushed or 1/2tsp ground cardamom
1/4 cinnamon stick or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
3 whole cloves or 1/8 tsp ground cloves
Dash of ground pepper – optional
3 black tea bags (I use Red Rose)
2 tbsp honey (I use blackberry honey from the farmers market)
1/8 tsp vanilla (I use the vanilla seeds but use the extract no problem)
1 cup milk (I use 2 or 3.5%)
Once water & spices have boiled add the tea bags..
Summer then add milk..
Turn heat to min & heat for 3-4 mins
Remove from heat then add honey & vanilla!..
Don’t forget to strain the tea bags & spices before serving!..
I like a bit of froth so after straining the tea I put it back in the pot then use a whisk or immersion blender until frothy!….yum!
Makes 2 large or 4 small cups..
