This is my mom`s recipe & she literally had to take them away otherwise I would have eaten them all!!..haha..
Seriously that yummy!
12 fresh figs (Black Mission or Green Sierra)
6 tsp Demerra (dark) brown sugar
1/2 cup each: cream cheese, feta & brie at room temp
maple syrup to drizzle
mint to garnish (optional)
Cut figs in half, trim bottoms to lay flat on a baking sheet. Sprinkle each fig with 1/2 tsp sugar then bruleé under the oven broiler for 3-4 mins (check often to avoid burning) until bubbly. Meanwhile, in a microwave safe bowl mix cheeses, melt in microwave until warm but not hot (as the cheese will curdle, yuck)…Stir cheese then place a dollop on top of each fig. Drizzle with maple syrup & garnish with chopped mint if desired OR skip the cheese and serve the figs with ice cream!! YUM!
